About 20kms outside the city near the Lamphun Industrial Estate, this extinct volcano has left behind a small pond. The trek up the 1,749 steps to the pond is arduous, but it is long believed that the water in this pool is holy and during an annual festival the water from here is taken to mix with royal water for even more auspiciousness. Unfortunately, ancient beliefs dictate that women are not allowed to take water from this pool.
