Lampang Railway Station
Opened under the reign of King Rama VI on April 1st 1916, the station became busy when the tunnel between Lampang and Chiang Mai, Khun Tarn, was completed in 1921. Lampang became the centre of goods from Bangkok to be distributed to destinations in the North and the district of Sop Tui flourished. Beautiful old buildings in the area remain as architectural heritage and a symbol of Lampang’s prosperous past.
