This is an ‘island’ in the Ping River where sits a 700 year old temple along with numerous ruins from the Hariphunchai era. Originally an island, the Ping River has since changed courses and Ko Klang has become part of the east side of the river. The temple itself stores artefacts and features fragments of stucco sculptures. The Lamphun Provincial Administration Organisation has allocated a budget to do further excavation of the site to turn it into both a source of learning and a tourist attraction.
